ARIZONA BASEBALL RANKINGS

The Arizona Baseball Rankings was created to provide a fair ranking system for all teams and coaches

but in particular for the young ballplayers that care very much about their standings in the state rankings.

This ranking system was not designed for teams that sandbag and play at a lower level just to gain points and win trophies.

The only way that Arizona will be able to compete with California, Texas, Florida and Georgia teams

is for the best teams in the state to play each other on a consistent basis-not hide from one another in an attempt to gain points.

The purpose of travel ball is to get our young men ready for high school, college and beyond.

The Arizona Baseball Rankings is committed to helping facilitate that end. AZB Rankings will be updated weekly.

An awards ceremony with a trophy presentation will be held each at the conclusion of the season for all of the top ranked teams for each age group.

HOW THE POINTS ARE CALCULATED

Each team is eligible for points from up to twelve tournaments a year, this includes National Championships.  A teams top twenty finishes will be used to determine a teams total points.  These points can be accumulated during any month of the season which runs from August 1st-July 31st.

Four teams must participate in a division during a tournament to be eligible for points (9U has a two team minimum).

The following sanctioning bodies are recognized by azbaseball.org:

AAU
CABA
SSBA
TCS
USSSA
USTBA
